Prairieview’s 38th Annual Fall Festival is scheduled for September 5 & 6 at Prairieview Lutheran Home/Faith Place in Danforth. The Opening Ceremony will be at 10:45 a.m. on Friday and the booths will open at 11:00 a.m.

Special features will be the Woodworth Style fish on Friday and the Ford/Iroquois Pork Producers will be preparing pork chops for Saturday evening. The many booths contain such things as crafts, stitchery, plants, old jewelry, produce and honey, used books and ice cream. A really interesting booth is the Silent Auction, which features different things each day.

There will be entertainment throughout both days, including Natural High at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and The Back Paiges on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Our annual Quilt Auction is at 3:00 p.m. This is a popular event. Quilts made and donated by members of our corporation churches are auctioned at that time. They are handmade and many are hand quilted. These quilts come in all sizes from baby quilts to king size, and also wall hangings. They represent many hours of labor.

The Fall Festival is sponsored by Prairieview Lutheran Auxiliary. Supplemental funds are by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Proceeds will be used for updating resident rooms and common areas.
