Raiders Lose A Tough One To Close The Season

Saturday at Gilman

Seneca 25, Iroquois West 22

The Iroquois West Raiders had every reason to feel like they are in the driver’s seat in the final game of the season last Saturday in Gilman where they had scored with about two minutes left to play when  quarterback Ty Pankey connected with Sam McMillan for the score and then again for the extra point to make to make the score 22-19.

Apparently the visiting Irish had other ideas and they scored with about a minute left to seal the win in what had to be a heartbreaker for the Raiders.

The Raiders had chosen to kickoff and go on defense to start the game and after a Seneca drive sputtered well into IW territory West started a drive at their own 35 and at the 0:44 mark in the first quarter  Trystyn Schacht elude tacklers to find the end zone to make it 7-0.
