Dwight 54, Iroquois West 44

The Iroquois West girls shook off a rough start which would see them trailing host Dwight by five points at the end of the first quarter, leading the Trojans by three at the half, 32-31, but the second half was a different story.

“Offensively we struggled in the second half and costly turnovers got the best of us,” IW Coach Kristy Arie said, although the IW girls still led by one at the end of three quarters, 40-39.

The Lady Trojans went on to outscore West by a 15-4 margin in the fourth quarter where Shelby Johnson was the only IW player to score, registering all of the team’s four points.
